Irma Narimanishvili graduated with honors from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, Faculty of Economics, majoring in finance and credit and was awarded the qualification of economist with specialization in the state budget. Then she continued her post-graduate studies and engaged in teaching activities at the Chair of Finance and Credit.

Irma Narimanishvili has been working in the field of public finance management since 1996. She has work experience, including in leading positions, both in executive and legislative authorities. She worked in the macroeconomic forecasting department of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia in the direction of state budget revenues and has been working in the Parliamentary Budget Office of Georgia since 1999.

In different years, she has attended training and courses related to public finance, financial management, budgeting, and tax policy, both in Georgia and abroad, including at the US Congressional Budget Office. She has completed the first level of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) Georgian Program. She is a graduate of NDI's Future Women Leaders program.

She speaks English and Russian languages, besides her native Georgian language.
